A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE: MEMBERS OF THE DEAF ASSOCIATION (ÖGLB) VISIT FOX IN A BOX

Der Handkontakt bei einem Escape Room in Graz, Österreich, für Teamarbeit.

Members of the Styrian Regional Association of Deaf Clubs within the Austrian Association of the Deaf (ÖGLB) came to experience two of our most popular escape room games: “Prison Break” and “Zombie Lab.” What made this visit especially unique, however, was not just the games themselves, but the special preparation and support provided by a game master who was fluent in sign language.

The group was welcomed by our trained game master, who guided them through the rules and ensured that all questions were answered. Then the adventure began!

“Prison Break” transported the players into a dark prison cell, from which they had to escape within one hour. Through teamwork, communication, and clever puzzle-solving, the participants worked their way through the challenges and enjoyed every minute of the excitement.

At the same time, the other group played “Zombie Lab,” a game that placed players in an abandoned laboratory where a deadly virus had broken out. Once again, teamwork was key to overcoming the looming danger, finding the correct antivirus, and escaping in time.

The enthusiasm and excitement of the participants were contagious. Every moment was filled with pure joy and fun. Thanks to the dedicated game master who was fluent in sign language, language barriers were practically nonexistent. It was a truly inclusive experience that will be remembered by everyone involved for a long time.

As the event came to an end, everyone agreed: it was an absolute hit! Our guests had a fantastic time at Fox in a Box, and we as hosts were equally inspired by their energy and enthusiasm.

We hope to welcome them back again soon. Their visit showed us how important it is to create inclusive experiences where everyone feels welcome and valued. Fox in a Box will continue to stand for exactly that, and we look forward to welcoming people from all backgrounds and sharing unforgettable adventures in the future. See you soon!
